AHF Reaches Major ‘Test and Treat’ Milestone in Europe

In addition to operating in the United States, Asia, Africa, and Latin America, AHF reached a major milestone in Europe, serving 50,000 patients and performing more than one million HIV tests. AHF operates in Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Lithuania, Netherlands, Portugal, Russia, Ukraine, and the United Kingdom, bringing the organization’s “test-and-treat” model to Europe. That cutting-edge program, which AHF has utilized for a decade, helps people living with HIV get into drug treatment quickly. Test and treat not only saves lives, but slows the global spread of the virus. For years, AHF has done invaluable work in Russia and Ukraine.
