No One Understands What Is Yet to Come

In 1982, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announces the existence of a mysterious, lethal disease: “Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome” or “AIDS.” It kills 853 Americans. In 1983, that death toll jumps dramatically: 2,304 people lose their lives. Nobody understands what is yet to come.
