Los Angeles AIDS Hospice Committee Demands Urgent Action

After stopping Proposition 64, Stop the AIDS Quarantine Committee members establish the Los Angeles AIDS Hospice Committee. The AIDS crisis has been decimating L.A.’s gay community, but the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors has done little to help. With terminally ill AIDS patients facing evictions and inhumane treatment at hospitals, the hospice committee advocates for safe, dignified housing for the dying to live out their last days. The activists demand that local government move quickly, and provide funding for much-needed hospice care.
