AHF Puts Advocacy Wheels in Motion to Fight Monkeypox

At the onset of the monkeypox (now mpox) outbreak in the U.S. and globally, AHF immediately began strongly urging the World Health Organization, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and other health departments across the country to revitalize programs promoting condom use. The advocacy campaign also quickly called for mpox to be declared a public health emergency of international concern, which it later was.
