AHF Co-Founder Michael Weinstein Goes to South Africa
As the global AIDS epidemic worsens, AHF president and co-founder Michael Weinstein goes to the International AIDS Conference in Durban, South Africa. He meets with local AIDS activists who are desperate to bring HIV drug treatment to their country — due to politics and economics, the South African government does not want to provide expensive HIV treatment. At the request of the activists, AHF decides to open a clinic in Durban. The South African government tries to derail that effort.
