First AHF Global Clinic Opens

Despite continued clashes with the South African government, AHF doesn’t back down. The organization opens its first HIV/AIDS clinic outside the U.S. in Durban, providing free HIV drug treatment through a 100-person pilot program. That same year, AHF opens another 100-person pilot program in Masaka, Uganda, where the government welcomes the organization. Both programs will grow dramatically, saving hundreds of thousands of lives.
